Desktop app vs web recorder — which to use

Both versions keep recordings local and skip the account step. The difference is workflow: open a tab for quick captures, install the app when you record often or need global shortcuts.

Use the web recorder when

• •You need a one-off capture without installing anything.
• •You are on a machine where you cannot install apps.
• •You want recordings to stay in that browser's library on that device.

Use the desktop app when

• •You want global hotkeys from any app.
• •You prefer files saved to ~/Movies/Peacae or Videos\Peacae.
• •You record frequently and want a native menu-bar workflow.

Libraries do not sync between web and desktop — download or move files manually if you need them in both places.
